Neon Matte Tropical Nail Art

Hello hello! Long time no blog, I know! I was not planning on taking a break from blogging but, life happened. Between having work done in my apartment and not feeling well these past two week have been hectic to say the least. But - I am back! Today I have a little sneak peek of a color from Zoya's Summer 2017 Wanderlust Collection. This collection is stunning guys! I've been rocking two of the colors on my hands and toes now and I'm in love. I will have my review of the entire collection up soon, so stay tuned. In the meantime enjoy this fun bit of tropical-inspired nail art!

Tools used:

MoYou Tropical Plate 02

Clear Stamper

Creative Scraper

Ellagee Lickity Split Liquid Latex Barrier

Polishes used:

Zoya Cora

Hit the Bottle As Black as Night

KBShimmer Clearly on Top & Matte Top Coat

Steps:

I started two coats of Cora and a coat of Clearly on Top to speed up drying. Once dry, I applied Lickity Split around my cuticles and stamped on my floral patterns of choice from Tropical Plate 02 with As Black as Knight. I finished with another coat of Clearly on Top followed by my matter top coat.

In the bottle, Cora is a bright yet soft creamy coral. On my skin tone however, it reads as a bright almost neon orange. And the matte top coat only enhances this effect, which I love. It's finally starting to feel like Summer and my nails definitely reflect that!
