Henna Inspired Stamping

Happy Thursday gang! Today's nail art was a one-off for me. I was having a bit of a brain jam about what to do. You know those moments when you're just not enthused about any idea you come up with? So I decided to just use a color that I love that I hadn't used in awhile, along with a new stamping polish I hadn't tried yet and a stamping plate I hadn't used in awhile and voila! Magic!

Tools:

Creative Stamper

Born Pretty Stamping Plate BL015

Ellagee Lickity Split Liquid Barrier

Polishes used:

Essie Playing Koi

Hit the Bottle Tapue-lessly Devoted

KBShimmer Clearly on Top

Steps:

I sued my standard stamping process: two coats of my base color followed by Clearly on Top to speed up the drying process. I applied Lickity Split around my cuticles and stamped on my image with Taupe-lessly Devoted. I finished with a coat of Clearly on Top.

I had no idea what to call these nails until I showed them to my Mom and she said they reminded her of Henna! So I went with it! I rocked these nails for a girls' night out this past weekend. My friends and I went out to dinner and to see Fifty Shades Darker. I find both the books and the films atrocious (the books more so because the writing is just bad), but they are also highly entertaining!
