Blue Toile Print Nail Art

Happy Friday gang! I recently splurged on some new stamping polish from a brand called Moonflower Polish. I saw a review by CopyCat Claws and simply had to try them. I am always on the look out for quality affordable stamping polish that doesn't smell like paint thinner! One of the colors that stood out to me was a bright indigo blue, called Azul. It immediately made me think of toile print. SO of course the first thing I decide to do is what? Toile! Toile is my jam. It's one of my favorite patterns and I love the variations of patterns you can find. This particular design is more on the simple side of Toile.

Tool used:

Creative Stamper & Scraper

Ellagee Lickety Split Liquid Latex

Born Pretty Stamping Plate BP-L016

Polishes used:

Polish My Life Muscat Martini

Moonflower Polish Azul

KBShimmer Clearly on Top

Steps:

I started with two coats of Muscat Martini. This is one of my favorite base colors for nail art. It is a very soft off-white with slight pink/purple undertones. How it looks depends on what colors you pair it with. I thought it would be perfect for a toile design since toile patterns tend to be against off-whites or creams. Once dry, I stamped on my two "toile" images from L016 with Azul. I finished with a coat of Clearly on Top.

The two patterns I used aren't a traditional "toile" pattern but I thought they replicated it rather well. MoYou London has a new toile pattern stamping plate that I simply MUST HAVE. I am such a sucker for classic patterns like brocade, jacquard and toile. What are some of your favorite patterns? Let me know in the comments!
