Fall Nail Art with Essie Playing Koi

Happy Friday everyone! Since the return of my mojo I have gone on a bit of a nail art buying spree. I've recently purchased new stamping plates, nail vinyls, acrylic paint for nail art and new nail art brushes. I wanted to give myself a fresh start and there's nothing like shiny new supplies to get me excited and inspired. It's finally starting to feel like Fall here in Chicago and so I decided to do some fall leaves-inspired nail art using a few of my trusty new supplies

Tools used:

Winstonia Berry Wine Striping Brush

Winstonia Fine Line Nail Art Liner

Nail Art Pro Acrylic Paint in Black

Polishes used:

Essie Playing Koi

Zoya Cam & Ziv

OPI Squeaker of the House

KBShimmer Clearly on Top

I started with two coats of Playing Koi - I am in love with this color for Fall - I then used my small fine line brush and paint on Cam, Ziva and Squeaker in vague leaf patterns. I didn't worry too much about precision since I would be outlining each leaf to give it more shape and dimension. I then used my black acrylic paint and my smallest striping brush for the Berry wine set to outline the leaves. I finished with a coat of Clearly on Top.

This design is simple and pretty. I was  really impressed with the brushes and acrylic paints. I purchased them on the recommendation of a nail artist on Instagram and I'm happy I did so!
