 *Press Sample

We are at Day 27 of the 31 Day Challenge and the prompt is Inspired by Artwork. This is one of my favorites in the challenge and I usually do something freehand, but decided to try out a set of oil painting water decals I recently received from Lady Queen to review. The pattern is so beautiful and perfect for today's theme.

Tools used:

Lady Queen Oil Painting Water Decals

Polishes used:

Colour Gossip Baby Bump

OPI Honey Ryder

KBShimmer Clearly on Top

Steps:

I am a lover of water decals. I have a hoarding problem with them actually. So I am fairly used to using them and don't generally have a lot of issues. These however were pretty difficult to apply. First off - you can't apply them over dark colors. Which I didn't realize until I had already painted all of my nails a dark navy blue. Bummerific. So I had to start all over with Baby Bump as my base color. I still had issues during application. These are very, very thin so I had to extra careful when applying and experienced a few tears. The sheet comes with two sets in the package so I was able to make small patches to the areas that needed it. Once I'd applied all of the decals I applied a generous coat of Clearly on Top to my nails. I added one Honey Ryder to my thumb for an accent color.

Despite the issues during application, I do love the finished nail art. The scene itself is gorgeous! What do you all think? Do you like the finished product? These decals retail for $1.69 of the Lady Queen website. Be sure to use code BNST15 for 15% off your order.
