Sheer Black Swan Feather Nail Art

*Provided for Review

Happy Friday peeps! Today's nail art is something that I've been wanting to try ever since I did my first sheer black nail art a couple of months ago. I love the sort of "trapped under glass look" of layering things under sheer black jelly polish. I was originally going to freehand the pattern but then I received these feather nail decals from Born Pretty Store and they were so soft and delicate I decided to use them instead!

Tools used:

Born Pretty Store Classical Swan Feather Water Decals

Polishes used:

DIY Black Jelly Polish

This design was fairly quick and simple to do. The bulk of the time was spent cutting out the decals! I started with two coats of my DIY black jelly polish. Once dry, I applied my water decals. I waited a few minutes for them to adhere properly and then applied another two coats of the black jelly polish.

I love how moody these turned out! I was tempted to add another coat of the black jelly but was afraid it would begin to obscure the feathers. My favorite finger is my index finger - I love how floaty the feathers look!

What do you all think? Have you tried doing nail art with sheer black polish? If so did your make your own or purchase it?
