Hello all! If my voice sounds really far away it's because I'm trapped underneath a mountain of snow lol! Huge snowstorm hit my area (and a bunch of others) Sunday and Monday and I wound having an unexpected snow day from work. So I spent vegging out watching Netflix and doing swatches. Which for me was pretty much a prefect day.
Today I have for you a trio of polishes from CDB Lacquer. Cheyenne, the maker of CDB is a great girl and was kind enough to send me a few of her polishes to try. Check out more pics and my review after the jump!
First up is April and it's part of the Birthstone Collection, it is a white shimmer with holo glitter throughout. I am usually not a fan of colors like this but lately they have really been catching my eye. It's kind of the perfect color for Winter. The formula on this one is slightly jelly but not quite crelly. Kind of a mix if that makes any sense. I found the trick for application was to do one thin coat followed by a thicker coat. April is a top coat eater so I would recommend using to coats of top coat.
Crystal Glacier is a soft light blue linear holo and is a January Limited Edition color. This one makes me think of winter as well so the name is perfect. The formula was on the sheer side for me. I wound up using three thin coats for full opacity. Alas, it was doomy and gloomy when I took my photos so I couldn't get as great a pic of the linear finish as I wanted, but even without it it still has great sparkle.
And last is Warrior Spirit. I am generally not a red girl unless it has some kind of sparkle to it and I was worried that this one wouldn't have enough for me, but I love the smattering of silver holo micro glitter. It's a great alternative to a red cream without too much sparkle and bling. The formula was the best of the three. I used two coats for full opacity and had no issue with application.
So what do you all think? My personal favorite is Crystal Glacier!
CDB Lacquer retails for $8-9 a bottle and can be found via their store website
