I am so excited for today's post! Why? Well because I love nail polish and so whenever I have new polish it's of course an exciting occasion. But also because I have two polishes from Scofflaw Varnish's Winter collection to show you. I actually managed to catch her re-stock! This is no small feat since I have missed literally every single restock she's had in the last few months. And then I was on my no buy-low buy regimen...so yeah...I'm stoked! I grabbed two polishes from the new collection, Clockwork Moth and Love Letter to Frida Kahlo.
First up is Love Letter to Frida Kahlo. This was an absolute must have from the moment I saw swatches of it. Frida is a gorgeous soft lavender with delicate gold flecks throughout. The formula is on the thin side and applies a bit sheer on the first coat. I used three thin coats for full opacity.
Next up is Clockwork Moth. I was originally just going to buy Frida and call it a day but then I saw swatches of this beauty and decided to grab it. Clockwork is a really unique pale-green burnished or antique shimmer filled with gold glitter flecks. The formula on this one was a bit tricky. The base is more jelly-ish and on the thick side. I found the best way to apply it was to paint a thin coat and let it dry and then apply another coat. I used three thin coats for full opacity. Application takes a bit of finesse but I think it's worth it!
So what do you all think of my picks from the collection? Did you manage to grab anything from the restock?
Scofflaw Varnish retails for $9 a bottle and are sold here. The collection is currently out of stock but a restock is scheduled for February 11th. Check out the Scofflaw Facebook page for updates on restocks and collection launch info.
