Happy Friday all. Today I have two polishes from an indie brand that I have been dying to try for awhile now, Polish My Life. I was visiting the site on an almost daily basis and drooling so I decided to allow myself a splurge and picked up Milk Chocolate Goodies and Un-Teal Next Year.
First up is Milk Chocolate Goodies from the Wine & Chocolate collection. This is such a unique color. It's not exactly brown, more of an olivey-green with brown undertones. It also has a really soft subtle shimmer to it. You lose a bit of the shimmer on the nail but it is there (you can kind of see it on my pinky finger in the photos). Formula-wise it was exactly how I like my cream polishes to be: not too thick or thin with great coverage. I used two coats for pictures.
Next up is Un-Teal Next Year. I almost decided not to post this one. It's no longer available and I know it can be annoying to look at discontinued colors but it was just so pretty and I was already swatching MCG so...don't be mad at me! I am a sucker for a good teal polish and this was the polish that made me really take a look at Polish My Life's polishes. The formula was fairly similar to MCG. I used two coats for pictures.
P.S. I had the hardest time photographing this color! My camera and teals have never gotten along and this one kept reading super dark. I got the color as close to what it looks like in real life as I could. It is a tad brighter than this in real life.
So what do you think of these colors? Have any of you tried Polish My Life polish and if so what are some of your favorites? I have already added more colors to my wish list and am open to any recommendations!
Polish my life retails for $9.50 a bottle and is sold here
