31DC2014: Day 6 - Violet Nails

Okay, so I have to admit that I fudged a bit on this one. The polish I used today is not violet. It seems that I don't own a violet colored polish. Purple? Yes. Orchid? Sure. Lavender? You bet. But violet? Not so much. In my defense, lavender is on the violet spectrum so I figured it wasn't too great of a deviation.

var _gaq = _gaq || []; _gaq.push(['_setAccount', 'UA-41312601-1']); _gaq.push(['_setDomainName', 'valiantlyvarnished.com']); _gaq.push(['_setAllowLinker', true]); _gaq.push(['_trackPageview']);

(function() { var ga = document.createElement('script'); ga.type = 'text/javascript'; ga.async = true; ga.src = ('https:' == document.location.protocol ? 'https://ssl' : 'http://www') + '.google-analytics.com/ga.js'; var s = document.getElementsByTagName('script')[0]; s.parentNode.insertBefore(ga, s); })();

My violet  polish is American Apparel L'Esprit. I started with two coats and let completely dry. I then used MoYou London Pro Plate 07 and Munda de Unas #43 and New York & Company Millionaire for the stamping design. I wanted to do some more stamping and loved the idea of layering the splatter pattern with two colors.
 I actually wound up triple stamping my middle finger since the gold kind of covered up the cream color too much for my liking. I wasn't sure how I felt about the end result at first but I've come to really like it.
Now that I've discovered the obvious gap in my polish collection I must remedy it. If any of you know of a great violet color polish please let me know in the comments!
