31DC2014: Day 3 - Yellow Nails

Yellow is another color that I love that I know tons of people hate. Ironically I drew a complete blank for this prompt. I don't own a true yellow polish. I own light pastel yellows and mustard-y yellow and neon taxi yellow...but no plain ole' yellow. For today I opted for a pastel pale yellow and paid homage to an age-old bit of nail art wisdom: When in doubt do flowers! var _gaq = _gaq || []; _gaq.push(['_setAccount', 'UA-41312601-1']); _gaq.push(['_setDomainName', 'valiantlyvarnished.com']); _gaq.push(['_setAllowLinker', true]); _gaq.push(['_trackPageview']);

(function() { var ga = document.createElement('script'); ga.type = 'text/javascript'; ga.async = true; ga.src = ('https:' == document.location.protocol ? 'https://ssl' : 'http://www') + '.google-analytics.com/ga.js'; var s = document.getElementsByTagName('script')[0]; s.parentNode.insertBefore(ga, s); })();

I used three coats of Sinful Colors Unicorn for my yellow. This color is very pale so I wanted to use colors that helped it pop a bit. So for my flowers I used Revlon Royal and China Glaze My Secret Peri-winkle. For the leaves I used Revlon Emerald.

This design was fairly easy and uncomplicated to do. I am trying to go easy these first few days of the challenge since it gets pretty intense after this first week. Plus - I never get tired of flowers!
