We're on Day 18 of the 31DC, Half Moon nails. Today's nail art is half moon-ish, more in the spirit of the design than a literal translation. It's very rare that I get the urge to bust out the striping tape so I figured I'd go with it!
This design was relatively simple to do. The thing that took the longest amount of time was cutting the striping tape. Which is always my least favorite part of striping tape nail art. I started with a clear base coat, KB Shimmer Basic Training Once dry, I applied two piece of striping tape in a V shape and applied two coats of Chick Polish Hen House. I removed the tape while the polish was still wet. For my middle finger, I did an accent detail and doubled the V shape. I waited a few minutes before applying my top coat to avoid smearing the design.
So yeah...half moon-ish. But they're turned out so pretty, so I'm okay with that.
