Quatrefoil Accent Nail with American Apparel The Valley

I love discovering new nail art techniques and designs and last week I discovered this amazing Quatrefoil Nail Art design by Christabell Nails. Last night I decided to give it a go. var _gaq = _gaq || []; _gaq.push(['_setAccount', 'UA-41312601-1']); _gaq.push(['_setDomainName', 'valiantlyvarnished.com']); _gaq.push(['_setAllowLinker', true]); _gaq.push(['_trackPageview']);

(function() { var ga = document.createElement('script'); ga.type = 'text/javascript'; ga.async = true; ga.src = ('https:' == document.location.protocol ? 'https://ssl' : 'http://www') + '.google-analytics.com/ga.js'; var s = document.getElementsByTagName('script')[0]; s.parentNode.insertBefore(ga, s); })();

The design called for five things:
Two nail polish colors - I used American Apparel The Valley and Sinful Colors Snow Me White
Two different sized dotting tools (I used a dual ended one)
A striping brush

I won't get too far into the details of the technique because I am still learning myself. Head on over to Christabell Nails for the full tutorial. I opted for an accent nail instead of the full design because I wanted to ease my way into it. I stared by painting all of my nails with two coats of The Valley and painted my ring finger with Snow Me White. Once dry I followed the technique and used both colors to create the Quatrefoil design on my accent nail.
I definitely want to try this again next time with a full design on all the nails. What I love about this it is that the color combo choices are endless. What do you all think? I always get so nervous when I follow tutorials. How did I do my first time out?
