Lacquer Legion: Glam - Rose and Gold Filigree Nail Art

It's time for another Lacquer Legion post! This month's theme is Glam. The first two colors that came to mind for this were black and gold. Those are my go to colors when I want glammed up nails but I wanted to do something different and outside of what I'm normally drawn to. After bouncing around a few ideas I settled on a retro version of glam. var _gaq = _gaq || []; _gaq.push(['_setAccount', 'UA-41312601-1']); _gaq.push(['_setDomainName', 'valiantlyvarnished.com']); _gaq.push(['_setAllowLinker', true]); _gaq.push(['_trackPageview']);

(function() { var ga = document.createElement('script'); ga.type = 'text/javascript'; ga.async = true; ga.src = ('https:' == document.location.protocol ? 'https://ssl' : 'http://www') + '.google-analytics.com/ga.js'; var s = document.getElementsByTagName('script')[0]; s.parentNode.insertBefore(ga, s); })();

As you can see I am back to squares, The almond shape was fun for awhile but I was really beginning to miss my squares!

 I started with two coats of Elevation Polish Limestone. Once dry I used BM Plate 314 and NY & Co. Millionaire for the filigree detail.  I then freehanded the roses using China Glaze Adventure Red-y, Revlon Emerald and black polish. I matted the entire look with Butter London Matte Top Coat.

 I'm really happy with how these turned out! Check out what everyone came up with for the April Lacquer Legion across social media with #LLGlam!
