Abstract Flower Nail Art with Butter London Bumster

Today I have some nail art to show you that I did over the weekend. I was holed up in the house Friday and all weekend do to a pinched nerve in my foot (if you've never experience this just imagine the worst foot cramp you've ever had that just doesn't go away!). I was so restless by late Friday night that I decided it was time to experiment and have some fun with my shinies. This is what I came up with and I love it! var _gaq = _gaq || []; _gaq.push(['_setAccount', 'UA-41312601-1']); _gaq.push(['_setDomainName', 'valiantlyvarnished.com']); _gaq.push(['_setAllowLinker', true]); _gaq.push(['_trackPageview']);

(function() { var ga = document.createElement('script'); ga.type = 'text/javascript'; ga.async = true; ga.src = ('https:' == document.location.protocol ? 'https://ssl' : 'http://www') + '.google-analytics.com/ga.js'; var s = document.getElementsByTagName('script')[0]; s.parentNode.insertBefore(ga, s); })();

I started with two coats of Butter London Bumster. I then lightly sponged on Wet N' Wild Fergie Collection Grammy Gold and Esmaltes da Kelly Orange Sunset. I layered the colors over each other a few times to create a subtle gradient effect.
Using my striping brush I used black polish mixed with a little nail polish thinner and painted on the flower petals. I then sponged a bit more Orange Sunset over the petals and added a few black dots.
I am in love with how these turned out! I wore it all weekend until I had to remove it for yesterday's Lacquer Legion design.  I want to try this again with different colors - blue or pink maybe?
