Toile Nail Art with Born Pretty Store Decals and Color Club Silver Lake

I broke down a few weeks ago and ordered more decals from Born Pretty Store. I already have quite a few that I haven't used yet but I couldn't resist these because they're toile! Toile is one of my all time favorite prints and I have attempted it freehand but have never been one hundred percent happy with the results.

This was really simple and easy to do. I started by painting my nails with two coats of Color Club Silver Lake. I then used these nail decals for Born Pretty Store. I cut them out in various shapes and sizes to create a random pattern on each nail. I applied them and then used a thick coat of HK Girl Top Coat to seal each nail.

var _gaq = _gaq || []; _gaq.push(['_setAccount', 'UA-41312601-1']); _gaq.push(['_setDomainName', 'valiantlyvarnished.com']); _gaq.push(['_setAllowLinker', true]); _gaq.push(['_trackPageview']);

(function() { var ga = document.createElement('script'); ga.type = 'text/javascript'; ga.async = true; ga.src = ('https:' == document.location.protocol ? 'https://ssl' : 'http://www') + '.google-analytics.com/ga.js'; var s = document.getElementsByTagName('script')[0]; s.parentNode.insertBefore(ga, s); })();

I finally have pretty toile nails! I'm happy that I went with a light blue-gray base color as opposed to white since I think this gives the whole design a softer look. The decals are currently on sale on Born Pretty's site. Be sure to use my promo code PSL91 to get 10% off your order!
Still experimenting with my set-up and so far I am liking this one the best. The black backdrop was a pain. I felt like I couldn't get consistent color reads and photos with it, so I switched back to the white and changed up my light set-up. What do you all think? Do you like this set up?
