I bet you thought I had forgotten all about this series? That I had abandoned it and never though of it again. Never fear mes amis. I was simply amassing polish for one uber comparison post to blow your socks off with. I am a lover of nude holo polishes. I can't get enough of them, and a few months back and I had been planning to write this post using the ones that I had. But then I kept seeing swatches of other nude holos that I wanted. So I put the post off until I could grab all of the ones I wanted and do a full post for you all.

Let's start off with the light nude holos. These are great if you are looking for office appropriate holo polish to wear.
From left to right: Lacquer Lust Butt Bootie Naked, Carpe Noctem Taupey Tips, Liquid Lacquer Kashimr and Color Club Cherubic
First off let's talk about formula. All of these had amazing formulas. Taupey Tips
is a bit thicker than the others but not unmanageable. I used two coats of each polish with a coat of HK Girl Top Coat. Cherubic
obviously has the strongest holo effect with the classic rainbow linear finish. Kashimir
and Butt Bootie Naked
(you can read my full review of BBN here
) are the closest as far as color goes but I would say that Kashmir's finish is more scattered while BBN has a soft linear effect. Taupey Tips as you can see is the sheerest and the most subtle. In the bottle the holo effect is very visible but disappears a bit once on the nail. I personally wouldn't wear this on it's own since I have an aversion to visible nail line, but if you are okay with a little VNL this is a really pretty office-friendly color.
My personal favorite of this bunch is Butt Bootie Naked. With Kashmir being a close second. I love how subtle it is while still having that gorgeous linear rainbow. It's there- but it doesn't punch you in the face with it's shine like most linear holos do.
From left to right: Butter London All Hail The Queen, Glitter Gal Suede, Color Club Love Em' and Leave Em', OPI DS Classic
And now we are on to the browner or "taupier" nude holos. These were actually a surprise for me. They look incredibly similar in the bottle but once on the nail not a single one is a dupe.
See what I mean? They are all so different! I was sure that DS Classic would be closer in color to Love Em, Leave Em since they look so close in the bottle but nope. Formula-wise all of these were on the sheer side. I used two coats on all of them except for LE, LE which I wound up going over with a thin third coat. In the finish department these are all scattered holos with DS Classic having the strongest finish. All Hail The Queen has the most subtle and was one of the sheerest of the bunch followed by Suede. This was my first time trying Suede and it has a rose undertone to it that I was not expecting. I like it but think it would probably look better on fairer skin. I find these colors a bit trickier as far as gauging which skin tone they would look best on. They are not so much nude as "neutral" and neutrals fall into a much larger spectrum.
DS Classic holds a special place in my heart since it was the very first holo polish I ever purchased. But my favorite of this bunch is Love Em, and Leave Em. I think it is the most universally flattering and the finish is so pretty!
Do you own any of these polishes and if so what are your fave? Also - has a polish in this post piqued your interest? If so, which one?
