NAGG Day 22: Surreal - Nails on Nails

 I wanted to do something fun and weird for this prompt and spent a ton of time scouring Google for inspiration. I found some really cool things (modern surrealist art is awesome!) but nothing that really grabbed me. This morning I was scrolling through my Instagram feed (as you do) and came across this insane nail art on Floss Gloss' profile page. Nails on nails?! What the what?! var _gaq = _gaq || []; _gaq.push(['_setAccount', 'UA-41312601-1']); _gaq.push(['_setDomainName', '']); _gaq.push(['_setAllowLinker', true]); _gaq.push(['_trackPageview']);

(function() { var ga = document.createElement('script'); ga.type = 'text/javascript'; ga.async = true; ga.src = ('https:' == document.location.protocol ? 'https://ssl' : 'http://www') + ''; var s = document.getElementsByTagName('script')[0]; s.parentNode.insertBefore(ga, s); })();

I simplified my version of the original design and kept my nails bare. I used black paint to outline the "nails" and half moons and then used American Apparel Peacock and Orly Frolic to fill in the spaces.
I love how crazy and colorful these are. I showed them to my Mom right after I finished them and she goes  "Are those nails on your nails?!" Yes, yes they are. LOL!
