Esmaltes da Kelly Durga Swatch & Review

I have been trying to broaden my horizons in the polish purchasing arena lately and try brands that I've never tried before. One of those brands is Esmaltes da Kelly. I've seen swatches of her polish and have always thought they were gorgeous. One of the first ones to catch my eye was Durga so I decided it would be the perfect introduction to the brand. var _gaq = _gaq || []; _gaq.push(['_setAccount', 'UA-41312601-1']); _gaq.push(['_setDomainName', 'valiantlyvarnished.com']); _gaq.push(['_setAllowLinker', true]); _gaq.push(['_trackPageview']);

(function() { var ga = document.createElement('script'); ga.type = 'text/javascript'; ga.async = true; ga.src = ('https:' == document.location.protocol ? 'https://ssl' : 'http://www') + '.google-analytics.com/ga.js'; var s = document.getElementsByTagName('script')[0]; s.parentNode.insertBefore(ga, s); })();

Durga is a clear base filled with shredded mylar glitter in blue, black, white orange, red, yellow and purple. It's a cornucopia of color and I'm sure I'm forgetting one or two.  I wanted the glitter to be the star of the show so I layered it over a neutral, Essie Sand Tropez. Application was decent with good glitter coverage. The base is very thick so I did wind up having to dab to cover any bald spots.
I'm in love with this polish! I think it would look amazing layered over a neon pink or a bright blue.
Esmaltes da Kelly is sold on Llarowe and retails for $8.50 a bottle.
