So a funny thing happened to me yesterday just as I was leaving for work. Not so much funny as sad. I had a nail break. A bad one. And so last night I sat down and chopped em' all off. I've got nubs! I am of two minds about it. On the one hand- I am sad. I like my nails a bit longer. I'm just not a short nail girl. On the other- I am always searching for the silver lining in any given situation and so now that I have nubs I can bust out all my vampies and glitters that I always think look better on short nails. Today's polish is a perfect example. I swatched this earlier this week and didn't like the way it looked on my nails. Cut to later and I think it looks fabulous!
You're Not Making Any Frankincense is from the Different Dimension holiday collection. A combination of gold and holo small, square and ans large circle glitter in a clear base. This polish is chock full of glitter! If you like a more deliberate placing of glitter I suggest dabbing. I did have to fish a bit for the large circle glitter but that was to be expected. I layered one and a half dabbed coats over two coats of Chick Polish Hen House.
This is my first polish from Different Dimension (crazy, I know) and I love it! I think it's the perfect kind of bling for the winter/holiday season. I tried this layered over royal blue and emerald green and it looked amazing over those colors as well. I also want to try it layered over red.
Different Dimension polish is sold on Etsy and retails for $8.50 a bottle.
