Hey all, happy Monday. I have a quick post for you today of a polish I picked up last month. Apollo Star is from the Color Club winter "Savoy Nights" collection. Unlike Color Club's fall collection the Winter one wasn't all that exiting to me, but Apollo Star stood out.
Color Club describes Apollo Star as a silver shimmer. This description is a bit misleading because it's definitely more complex a color than that. It is silver and in certain lights read gold with tons of holographic sparkle throughout. The formula is on the thick side but applies smoothly and is opaque in two coats. Because of the thickness I recommend keeping the coats on the thin side. This dries slightly textured and dull and is a top coat eater. I used two coats of HK Girl to get a nice glossy finish.
I was originally just going to swatch this but decided to keep it on because it's so pretty and sparkly. I think it's such a great color for the winter season.
