I can't believe how close we are to Halloween already! Seriously, where is the time going? Today I have some spooktastic polishes from LynBDesigns to show you. These are from her Nightmare Before Christmas collection. I know so many people who love this movie, my brother being one of them. I have a tiny confession though- I've never seen it! I know, I know! Please don't shun me or revoke my movie geek card! Click through to see more pics and read my full review.
First up is Poison Soup, a yellow- green glitter with flecks of green glitter. This one is a glitter bomb. I had no need for undies and was able to build up opacity with three thin coats. Color-wise, I don't think this one looks great on my skin tone but I think it would look awesome on fairer or darker skin tones.
Next up Is Shadow On The Moon 2.0. A gorgeous semi-sheer pink brown base with silver, red and pink glitter. No application issues with this; it applied nicely and had great glitter coverage. I used two thin coats over Sinful Colors Starfish.
Ragdoll is a blurple (blue/purple) with green color-shifting flecks. Pictures do not do this one justice! The shift is beautiful and it has an almost foil-like finish to it. Again, no issues with application. It was quite sheer but I was able to get full opacity at three coats. Other than that no
Tear-Away Face contains my current polish obsession: circle glitter!! This is such a fun polish and I love that it is pastel - not something you see often in Halloween-themed collections. Application was great. I did have to fish for the larger circle glitters but that is to be expected. I just turned the bottle upside down a few minutes before applying and that pretty much took care of it. I really like being able to place larger pieces of glitter where I want them to be. I used one and a half coats over American Apparel L'Esprit.
Frogs Breath was the sleeper of the bunch for me. A green crelly packed with black matte bar and round glitter?!?! I liked it in the bottle but loved it on my nails! I was really impressed with the application on this. I used three thin coats for pics and as you can see- chock full of glitter goodness. I think this may be the polish I bust out to wear on Halloween!
So as usual, an awesome bunch of polishes by LynBDesigns. It truly is one of my favorite indie polish brands. The collection is currently available on the LynBDesigns Etsy store. They range from $8-10 a bottle.
Do you all have any favorites from this collection? My two personal faves from this collection are Tear-Away Face and Frogs Breath!
