Quirky 31 Day Challenge Day 4 - Glitter

*Items in this post were provided for my honest review
Hi all. Today's post is a lesson in "If at first you don't succeed try, try again". This is actually the third design I tried last night. That's right- I did my nails three times! Ugh! I seriously was going to have a mental breakdown. The problem was that I drew a blank for today's "glitter" theme. And the ideas that I did have looked really good in head and crap on my nails. Black and gold is one of my all time favorite color combos. I don't know why I didn't think of it to begin with!
For this design I used four polishes: American Apparel Hassid (I seriously need to buy a second bottle of this!), Essie Good As Gold, Deborah Lippmann Cleopatra In New York and Shimmer Tracy. This was my first time using Tracy and like all Shimmer polishes it's amazeballs. It is a gold glitter with flashes of copper, blue and green. Gotta love a glitter bomb! I started by painting my nails with Hassid and my ring finger with Good As Gold. I layer Cleopatra over Hassid and Tracy over Good As Gold. Once dry I used BM Plate 08 and Good As Gold to stamp on the crown image.
I am actually really happy with how this turned out. After much frustration it's good to have an end result I actually like!
