Quirky 31 Day Challenge Day 14 - Baroque

Oh, boy! I have been anticipating and dreading today's prompt all at once. I have been really wanting to improve my freehand skills and I can think of (almost) nothing more intimidating than doing a freehand baroque design. Now there are those freehand goddesses out there like Sarah at Chalkboard Nails. I am not one of them. But I am practicing! And I have to say I am pleasantly surprised with what I came up with today!

I had a few color combos bouncing around in my head for today. This one came to me when I was sitting down to do my nails. So I scraped my original color scheme and went with this one. I love it! It's so regal and bold. I used China Glaze Manhunter and Essie Good As Gold and my thin striping brush for the design.

So what do you all think for my first try at freehand baroque? The Type A in me sees the need for definite improvement but I am actually really happy that I was able to finish this without  caving in and just using a stamping plate image. Which I was determined not to do. They don't call this a Challenge for nothin'!
