Initial Lacquer Swatches & Review

*Items in this post were provided for my honest review
Happy Monday lacquer lovers, I hope everyone had a great weekend. I did a little polish shopping and picked a up a few colors that I can't wait to show you guys. Today I have a few polishes that Iris of Initial Lacquer was kind enough to send for review. I love showing you guys great indie polish brands and this is definitely one of them. Read my full review and more pics after the jump!

First up is Wisterious a beautiful soft periwinkle blue with a subtle silver shimmer to it. I love soft blues like this. The formula was great; I was afraid that it would be a bit sheer or thin but it had a great consistency and was completely opaque in two coats.

Neon Me is a sheer baby blue polish with matte white and neon pink glitters. The glitter pay off with this was good, though I do recommend sitting it upside down for a minute or two before using.  It is pretty sheer so I layered it over Colour Gossip Baby Bump.

Something Simple is a sheer white base full of large and small silver glitter. I was originally going to layer this but was curious to see how it looked all on it's own. The formula is on the thick side, but coverage was good and the glitter payoff was nice as well. I used three thin coats for the pics and as you can see it is still fairly sheer. I like the subtlety of this one. It would make a great polish for a wedding I think.

Something Complicated is my favorite of the bunch. I didn't want to take it off it was so pretty! A sheer black base filled with multi-color, multi-shaped glitter. In the bottle this is pretty but it really comes alive on the nail. Again, the glitter payoff was great; no fishing or dabbing needed. I layered one coat over American Apparel Hassid.

I am really impressed with the quality of these. My two favorites are Wisterious and Something Complicated. Initial Lacquer is sold on Etsy and retail for $9.
