Indie Polish Week: Mod Lacquer

Hi all! On to Day 3 of Indie Polish Week. Today's featured indie is Mod Lacquer. First off let me start by saying that I love the shape of the polish bottles! Seriously. I decided to use them in the pics since I love them so much! Swatches and pics after the jump!

Verde Montana is a gorgeous sheer green jelly with pastel round glitter. This is such a great spring glitter. I had no issues with application; glitter pay off was great. I decided to show the polish with one coat on my index and middle fingers and two coats on my ring and pinky to show the difference. I used OPI Skulls & Glossbones as my base colors.

Star Seeds is a sheer black with fine holographic glitter. It definitely reminds me of space! The polish applied a bit streaky on the first coat, but evens out on the second. I used three coats for full opacity.

Pink Fallout is s clear base with black and neon pink square glitter and small black glitter shreds. Again, great glitter coverage. I actually wound up taking a lot of the glitter off the brush and applying lightly because there was so much. But I much prefer that as an issue than having to fish for glitter. One drawback is that not all the glitter lies completely flat against the nail. I wound up using two coats of top coat to get a smooth finish. This is one and half dabbed coats over Essence Ultimate Pink. This one would have been my favorite of the group except for one big issue: the pink glitter stains! I wore this for a little over 24 hours and was seriously bummed when I took it off and wound up with ugly pink spots all over my nails that I had to buff out.

What are is your personal favorite from this trio? Mine is Verde Montana! Mod Lacquer is sold on Etsy and retails for $9.50 a full size bottle and $4 for minis.
