Blue Ombre Nails

Hey gang - happy Friday! Woot woot! Doing my happy dance complete with jazz hands and a little soft shoe. Today's design is something I have never actually done before- an ombre. I don't know why it's taken me this long to try this but better late than never! For those of you who don't know what an ombre is it is not a gradient, which is three colors combined on the nail. An ombre is varying shades of color in the same "family" on each nail that creates an "ombre". Generally from dark to light or vice versa. I chose blue for my design mainly because I realized it's the color that I have the most varying shades of other than pink - which I feel I need to give a rest for awhile -ha!

I used five different blues for this ombre: Sally Hansen X-Treme Wear Breezy Blue, Pixel Naughty but Nice, China Glaze Sercret Periwinkle and Manhunt and Bondi NY Midnight Mystery Press Sample.

I loved how pretty these were just as they were but I felt like they were missing something... so of course that means I needed to add some glitter! I used Wet N' Wild Kaleidoscope. I love this glitter - it's a perfect "topper".
