Artsy Wednesday and Animal Print Week - Art Deco Owls

Hi all! Today is Artsy Wednesday and our theme is Vintage. Our little group only posts once every other Wednesday but it always manages to sneak up on me. I spent the better part of yesterday attempting to come up with an idea that would allow me to use this week's Artsy Wednesday theme and do animal print. I had originally planned to do owls for today and so finally it came to me to do Art Deco owls! This also gave me an excuse to use one of my favorite color combinations: black and gold.

Polishes used:
Wet N' Wild Fergie Grammy Gold (base color)
American Apparel Hassid
American Apparel T-Shirt

I used my detailing brush to paint the face and eyes as well as the feather detail. For the eyes and dots I used my dotting tool.

I have a serious obsession with animals printed on pretty much anything, especially owls and foxes so this was a lot of fun to do!

Check out the other Artsy Wednesday posts!
