Animal Print Week - Peacock Nails

Happy Monday Tuesday gang! Is anyone else thrown off by the three day weekend? It never fails with me; I'm always a day behind after holidays that fall on weekdays. Today's nail design is something that has been on my nail art bucket list for awhile now. I have seen so many variations on peacock nails that I couldn't decide which technique I wanted to use for this. So...I kind of just smooshed a few designs I really liked and added a few twists to come up with my own version.

I used a ton of polishes for this design so I decided to just list em':

China Glaze Hologram - OMG A UFO (base color)
China Glaze Deviantly Daring
China Glaze Agro
Savina Purple Pansy
Wet n' Wild Cougar Attack
Wet N' Wild Fergie Collection - Grammy Gold
American Apparel Hassid

I painted everything using my cut down detailing brush. Seriously, this brush has changed my nail art life. I basically cut off ninety percent of the thickness and height and now I have much better control for doing teeny tiny details.

I kind of hated on China Glaze OMG A UFO when I swatched it awhile back. I don't know if it was because I couldn't get decent picture of it because it was  an overcast day and so the holo effect was kind of lost, but I amend my original opinion of it. I wore it on it's own for about half an hour before I added the nail art and it was blinging all over the place!
