Inverted V-Gap and Zig Zag Pattern - Nails by Kayla Shevonne Indie Polish Nail Art Contest Entry

Hey gang, Happy Monday! Today's post is my entry into Nails by Kayla Shevonne's Indie Polish Nail Art contest. The guidelines are to use indie polish to create original nail art. What a great idea, right?!

I used three indie polishes for this design: Floss Gloss Tan Lines and Stun and LynBDesigns Quoth the Raven. I started by painting my nails with Quoth the Raven and Tan Lines. I used my medium striping brush and Stun to paint painted "triangle" shapes on the tips of my nails using Stun. On my ring finger I painted a zig zag pattern with Stun and Tan Lines.

I am really happy with how this design turned out and I love these colors together. This is my first time using Tan Lines (it has been in my untried pile for the past two months) and I love the formula- it's a great neutral cream. Quothe the Raven has become my go-to black for nail art; it is a one-coater black cream that dries to a semi-matte finish. In other words- it's perfect! And Stun is well... stunning.  A super dense gold glitter with hints of blue, pink and orange. I love it!
Kayla's contest is open for entries until April 30th. Head over to her blog to check out all of the entries!
