10 Days of Couture Nail Art Challenge Day 9 - Inspired by Jenny Packham

Happy Monday all! I can't believe there is only one day left to this challenge- it went by so fast! Today's nails are inspired by Jenny Packham. Packham is one of those designers that I feel you can't quite put your finger on her aesthetic. Every collection she does is completely different from the last. She doesn't have a prevailing theme to her designs. Which normally I think would make for chaotic designs but for her it works perfectly. Her designs are worn so often by actresses and none of them look like they come off last season's runway assembly line (which is so often the case with some designers' work). Her dresses have been worn by everyone from Carrie Underwood, to Duchess Kate,to Angelina Jolie. Quite a broad spectrum, right? If you are unfamiliar with her designs just Google her- you'll find yourself going, "Oh, I loved that dress on so and so", quite a bit!

Is this dress gorgeous?! I love the look of the white over the gold. I started by painting my nails with two coats of Essie Good as Gold. Once completely dry, I used Sally Hansen X-treme Wear in White On and BM plates 04  and 314 for the pattern. I topped it of with a coat of SV.

I'm really happy with how this turned out. It's not quite as bold as the dress design but I think I prefer how delicate my nails look.
