We are on to day 3 of the couture nail art challenge and today's designer, Stephane Rolland is not aswell known as other, more prominent designers but he is quickly becoming quite a force within the industry. His designs are amazeballs. Yes, I used the word amazeballs. I love couture because it so perfectly marries fashion with art and Rolland's designs encapsulate this idea perfectly. Architectural cuts in bold colors are his specialty. If you have never seen his stuff before Google it. It is again- amazeballs. Also make sure you Google a pic of the man himself. He has major hair. He could star in a shampoo ad.
Okay, so I'm kind of in love with this dress. It manages to be Gothic while being bright yellow. Huh?! I love the crazy contradiction of that. So of course I had to use it as today's inspiration. I started with two coats of Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Lightening and a coat of Seche Vite. Once dry I used a medium nail art brush and applied The Balm I Take My Coffee Matte Black. I mixed it with a little bit of thinner before applying and brush lightly from the nail bed up and out to create a faded effect. I did not apply anymore top coat because I wanted the black to be matte while the yellow was shiny and glassy.
