They're Not The Same. They're Similar - Battle of the Mint Greens

Hi, my name is Ameerah and I am addicted to mint green nail polish. I must own every one I lay my eyes on. It is so bad that family members make jokes about it. They roll their eyes and say, "another one?" But you see, all mint greens are not made alike. Their is nuance aplenty to be had with this color. And this post will prove ...

Our participants in this battle are Butter London Fiver, Revlon Minted, Essie Mint Candy Apple, Essence You Belong To Me and Chick Polish All A Twitter

I used two coats for each polish and no top coat. I love all of my mint greens but after swatching them all at once and seeing them together there are definite standouts for me. I was really impressed with the formula of You Belong To Me. Of all of the polishes this was the only one that gave me complete coverage with the first coat. My second favorite of this group is All A Twitter. A little streaky but it's so pretty! I got tons of compliments on it the first time I wore it. Next up is Mint Candy Apple which is probably one of Essie's most popular colors. Formula is okay. Though I feel that this one dries darker than I would like it to.  Revlon Minted was my first mint green polish and it will always hold a special place in my heart. But it just does not stand up against the other polishes well.  As you can see in the photo- streak city! The biggest disappointment formula-wise was Fiver. Fiver has a very thin formula and I still had streak after the second coat. Butter London usually has such great formulas so I was bummed about this. And I also feel that at $15 a bottle the quality should be better.

Stay tuned for more battles! And remember when someone says "they're the same." They are not the same. They're similar.
