Hi lovelies! A couple of weeks ago I received an e-mail from Orly letting me know that I was the winner of their First Fridays contest. I had entered it and completely forgotten about it so I was beyond stoked to learn that I had won. I was even more excited when I found out that they prize was the entire new Spring 2013 Hope & Freedom Fest Collection! They arrived earlier this week so of course I had to post swatches for you all to enjoy! Check out the pics and reviews for each polish after the jump.
First up is Boho Bonnet, a soft pretty light blue cream. A perfect spring blue. I found the formula a bit streaky and sheer but it evens out after the first coat. It did however take me three thin coats to achieve opacity.
Coachelle Dweller is a gorgeous spring pale green. It is a soft but vibrant color. Not quite pastel. The formula for this one was pretty much identical to Boho Bonnet. I used three thin coats to achieve opacity.
Elation Generation is a coral pink jelly with loads of holo glitter particles throughout. My camera went a bit nuts trying to photograph this color. It super bright and juicy. This is probably my least favorite color-wise in the collection. I just don;t think these type of colors do anything for my skin tone. But I think it would look amazing on someone more fair. The formula is a bit thick but sheer; I needed three coats to achieve opacity. My advice when applying this is to make the coats as thin as possible.
Melodious Utopia is a semi-sheer yellow shimmer. This one was a bit of a pain to apply. Super sheer and streaky. I wound up using 2.5 coats for opacity. This would probably work best with a white base underneath. I love yellow polish but this one was "meh" for me.
