A Winter Scene

Happy Friday Eve everybody! Is everyone ready for the holiday and time off? I don't celebrate Christmas but I always look forward to extra time off-ha! And it looks like it might be a white Christmas for most of the country. In homage to the snow we apparently going to get I wanted to a pretty winter snow scene. Freehand nail art is still something that intimidates me, but I decided to not let the striping brush get the best of me. We wrestled a bit. But I won the fight.

I started with two coats of China Glaze Kinetic Candy. Once completely dry, I painted on American Apparel T-shirt at the tips of my nails.  I used American Apparel Hunter and my medium striping brush to draw the trees and then went back with T-Shirt to add bits of snow to the trees and sponged a bit around the base of my nails to give the sky a cloudy effect. I topped it all off with Wet N' Wild Kaleidoscope for some winter sparkle.

I have to admit that I am looking forward to the snow. I am so not a winter person (despite living in a city where it's winter six months out of the year), but it has felt so strange to be this far into December and have barely had any rain let alone snow. So... yay for winter!
