Matte Filigree

Hi everyone! How was your weekend? I had originally planned to spend mine being as lazy as I possibly could. Am I the only one who tries to do as little as possible on the weekends? It's this time of year that makes me lazy. The moment the temp drops below 60 degrees I turn into a bear and just want to hibernate.  But alas, my hibernation was thwarted as Sunday was filled with running errands. I also finally busted out my bottle of Butter London Matte Top Coat that I bought in September. I was so impressed by it that I decided to mattify today's design with it.

I started with two coats of Orly Decades of Dysfunction. I then used Sinful Colors Black on Black and BM plate 012 for the filigree design. I then added a coat of Butter London Matte Finish. This is by far the best matte top coat I've tried. The finish is smooth and velvety to the touch. And it gave the design and "antique" feel to it. My only complaint is that it lifted part of the design during application and smudged it a bit. But,this may have been simply because I didn't wait long enough for it to dry.
