Leopard Print and Roses

Hi all! Today is my Monday since I am officially off my holiday vacation and back to work. I am attempting to not be completely bummed about this but a failing miserably. I'm sure if you've read other posts of mine you are aware of my love of doing nothing.  There is just something so satisfying about sleeping in late, leisurely getting up and getting coffee and then just relaxing. Ahhh....But alas, it is over.

Today's mani is a really fun design that incorporates two of my favorite prints- leopard and roses. Now that I have actually learned how to draw roses on my nails I've become a bit obsessed. And leopard print is well...leopard print. It rocks and I just never get tired of seeing leopard print nails or doing them.

For the base colors I used China Glaze Fast Track and Kinetic Candy, I then added small blobs of American Apparel Port for the leopard print and Butter London Pillar Box Red for the roses. I then added small c and u shapes with my dotting tool and OPI Black Onyx for the leopard. I used Orly Decades of Dysfunction to add depth and shape to the roses with a medium striping brush. The leaves were done with Revlon Posh and Savina You're My Sunshine. Finally, I added small dots around the roses with American Apparel T-Shirt and my dotting tool, and topped all the nails with a coat of Seche Vite. Whew! Sounds like a lot but it really didn't take that long. The steps for creating leopard spots and roses are almost identical so that made it fairly simple.

I really love this design. I love the look of the prints together- they clash and yet match at the same time.
