Dripping with Glitter

Happy Saturday everyone! So, I have been really inspired by new nubbins. I do miss my long nails (went through some old pics and sighed at the sight of them), but I am enjoying the short nails while I have them. I love the way glitter looks on short nails and wanted to use a glitter I hadn't worn in awhile. But- I also had a new Essence color that I was dying to wear so I decided to combine the two. I bought my first bottles of Essence polish last week and I am in love. Great colors, formulas and affordable? The elusive nail polish trifecta!

I started with two coats of Essence Date in the Moonlight. I love, love, love this color. I am a sucker for dusky teal and blues and this one has a very subtle blue shimmer throughout that makes it special. Said shimmer was a pain to try and photograph but you can kind of see it in the above photo.

I then added China Glaze Lorelai's Tiara to my tips creating a dripping pattern with the brush. This is a dense and chunky glitter so it was easy to achieve the "drip" effect without using a nail art brush or dotting tool which is what I normally use for this design. LT is a gorgeous silver glitter with small round teal glitter throughout. A perfect compliment to the dark murkiness of DITM.
