Happy weekend! So I realized this week that Halloween is almost upon us and I haven't done anything Halloween-themed! I love Halloween- it's my favorite holiday. But never fear- I will be doing a few fun Halloween manis next week. To kick things off I decided to swatch two colors from the 2012 China Glaze Halloween collection. Once again- these are colors that have been unfairly neglected; left to gather dust in my stash. Shame on me, I know. I was having a bit of a Sophie's Choice moment deciding which one to swatch since I didn't have time to do two full swatches of both. So I decided to combine them and do a skittle.
Mummy May I is a semi- sheer black jelly with small fuchsia glitter particles throughout. I am a sucker not only for black jellies but fuchsia glitter. I love, love, love this polish! It goes on pretty sheer with the first coat but is opaque by the second.
Zombie Zest is a yellow-green glitter in a light green base. This polish is actually much more sheer than it appears in the bottle. I decided to layer it over China Glaze Agro. You could probably get an opaque finish but would need at least three coats.
In other glitter news: Remember how I waxed on about how awesome Butter London West End Wonderland is? Well, it is. But only when it's on the nail. Taking it off was an upper case $itch! You can't tell as much in the photos but I seriously have glitter all over my hands. This is after basically washing them in acetone to get the stuff off. I feel like I got slathered in body glitter against my will. Not cool!
