Polish Days: Sentimental

Hi all! This is my second Polish Days and I am so excited to show you my design today. I finally took the leap and tried acrylic paint for the first time ever! I was a bit reticent since my drawing skills leave a lot to be desired. But I keep seeing such amazing designs and so many people talk about how easy it is to use (easier than polish), so I bit the bullet and bought a set from Michael's. What was I afraid of?! It was so easy and so forgiving so much more than polish is for intricate designs.

The theme for this month's Polish Days is "Sentimental". We were able to interpret this any way we wanted and the first thing that came to my mind was "Fall". There is just something a little sad and poetic and beautiful all at once about Fall. The change in weather and the falling of the leaves always makes me long for the early days of Spring and Summer. And so I decided to do an homage to fall. It truly is one of the most beautiful times of the year.

For my base color I used Essie School of Hard Rocks. For the design I used acrylic paints in various "fall leaf" colors. I topped it off with Seche Vite.
