Happy Monday all! I am out of my sick bed and back to work. Today is the 7th day of the Let's Do The Time Warp Challenge- only one more to go. It never ceases to amaze me how quickly challenges can fly by. Our challenge today is to pick something is classic and still popular today. I immediately thought of the french manicure. The exact origins of the french manicure are unknown, but the founder or Orly, Jeff Pink branded the name in the 1970's,when he used for one of his kits. Some say Max Factor created the technique back in the 1930's in Paris. That sounds far more glamorous to me so that's the one I will choose to believe-ha! There are so many different versions of the french manicure now; the reverse, the half moon, the chevron, the list goes on and on. So I decided to do a very modern and slightly avant garde nod to the technique. A version of this design was seen on the runways during fashion week at the Prabal Gurung fashion show. I switched up the colors a bit and opted for black.
I used two coats of China Glaze nude for the base. For the drips I used my Claire's Nail art Striper in Black. I started by creating dots where I wanted the drips to end and then used the striper to create the actual drip.
What do you think of my drippy french manicure?
