NOTD: Deborah Lippmann Across the Universe

Happy Friday all! Did anyone else's week drag like mine has? Seriously, I thought it was Thursday on Tuesday! You can imagine my disappointment when I realized that was not the case. But fun stuff did happen on my faux-Thursday. I met up with my really good friend and fellow polish addict after work for a temporary nail polish swap. It's so nice to have a friend to share my love of polish with; most people kind of glaze over or look at me strange when I talk about polish. But not my homegirl! A lot of our conversations revolve around our obsessions with polish and our cats and we are both perfectly content with that. I made out like a bandit in my swap goodie bag. She loaned me some pretty awesome colors. The one that stuck out for me and that I was really surprised by was Deborah Lippmann Across the Universe. I have seen this color on blogs in the past and I was very, "meh", about it. But in person? Amazeballs! I'm seriously in love with this color and will probably wind up buying it so that it can have a permanent home in my stash. I apologize in advance for the somewhat blurry pics- I could not get a sharp clear pic to save my life last night. I think my hands were a bit unsteady from all the sugar I ate earlier in the day. Yesterday was International Chocolate Day and we celebrated it in my office with massive amounts of the stuff!

I layered ATU over OPI Black Onyx. This is polish does have pigment so you could definitely wear it on it's by simply building a few layers over each other. This color really reminds me of fish scales - in a good way ha!
