My First Polish Days: Geometry- inspired Nails!

Happy Tuesday and sort of Monday if you are in US!  Labor Day was yesterday here is the States, which meant no work for a lot of people. It was awesome having an extra day off this week; I spent mine relaxing and watching tons of movies.

Today I am participating in my very first Polish Days! Polish Days is great challenge started by  Hannah at Polly Polish. Once a month, we are given a challenge and everyone posts their designs at the same time on the same day. Truly awesome idea! September's challenge is Geometry. Let me start off by saying, I suck at math. Numbers make me angry and slightly confused. I am a writer; give me words over numbers any day. I was actually really excited when Hannah e-mailed us what the challenge would be. I've been itching to do something with a notebook paper design and I felt it would be doubly fitting since tomorrow is the first day of school for most kids here in my city. This was a tad time consuming but I'm so glad I tried it because it is seriously adorable. I freehanded everything, using a striping brush. I wanted the writing to actually look written and not too perfect. Listed below is what I used to create the design. Click on the links below to check out the other participants of Polish Days!
Base Coat - Orly Bonder
Base Color - OPI Alpine Snow
Blue Lines - China Glaze Secret Peri-Wink-le
Pink Lines - China Glaze Pink Plumeria
Black Writing - Claire's Nail Art Pen (striping brush end)
Top Coat - Poshe
A couple of weeks ago I broke the nail on the ring finger of my left hand. But I decided to show my nubbin because the writing on in it came out so cute!
See? Adorable! I can't wait for my sad nubbin to grow out so I can start photographing my left hand again.
