Hi all! Today is day three that I am taking part in. For this challenge we had to do a design that represents our favorite animal. This was a no-brainer for me because I am obsessed with cats. Foreign and domestic. I recently did an homage to my own two kitties so I decided to go wild and do a leopard print. Leopard print and I go way back. We are serious compadres. So much so that a friend once told me that whenever she saw leopard print she thought of me. I took it as a compliment. This is surprisingly only the second time I've ever done a leopard mani. The first time I wasn't too happy with how it turned out and so I have been avoiding trying another. But a girl with a blog called "Valiantly" Varnished can't be a scaredy cat, right? I'm so glad that I ignored my fear of failure and did this mani. It's so cute! I love all kinds of leopard print but I especially love manis that use bright or "unnatural" colors. I was going to do a boring ole' life-like one (which I do like) but thought, "Forget it. Go big or go home!" I used two coats of China Glaze For Audrey as my base. For the black and white spots I used my Claire's nail art pens in black and white and topped it off with a coat of SV. I can't stop staring at my nails. For Audrey is one of my all-time favorite nail colors so anytime I wear it I become bit obsessed with staring at my nails and saying "pretty...". But with the spots? Forgetaboutit. I am typing and pausing to stare. Right. Now. Okay done!
