Indie Monday: Lacquer Convention Polka Dots & Moonbeams

Happy Monday! I hope everyone had a great weekend. Can you believe that we are in the last days of August?! Sad face. But- in happier news Fall nail colors are here. Yay! My latest obsession is brown and copper glitter and today I have a polish to show you that fits the bill perfectly. Lacquer Convention Polka Dots & Moonbeams is a gorgeous copper chunky glitter polish in a clear jelly base. The glitter is medium copper hex glitter and orange bars glitter, large round brown glitter and small bits of yellow and purple glitter. It makes me think of Autumn leaves. I layered PD & M over OPI Suzi Loves Cowboys which is a chocolate brown. After I did this mani I walked around my apartment for awhile oohhh and ahhing over the sparkle. A thought popped into my head, "this would look awesome as a matte." So of course, I listed to said voice. I actually like it better matte. It's still sparkly but in a "trapped under glass" way. This is my new favorite way to wear glitter, I think. On another note, I tried the glue method for this mani for the first time. If you've never heard of it Pretty Purple Polish did a tutorial on it. It's basically using Elmer's or PVA glue (whatever you'd like to call it) as a base coat. I will report back how easy this actually turns out to be with removal.

Lacquer Convention is available on Etsy. Full size bottles retail for $8 and mini bottles for $3 (which is what I used for the mani above).
