It's Friday! Woohoo! I don't know about anyone else but this week dragged for me. And to top it off I'm starting to get the "End of Summer Blues". Summer just went so fast this year. I do love Fall clothing and Fall nail colors so that is something to be excited about. Today I have China Glaze Swanky Silk, which is my "S" entry in the ABC Challenge. Swanky Silk is from China Glaze's Fall Bohemian collection. I swatched Deviantly Daring here last week. SS was the the second polish I picked up from this collection. I have to say that although this collection is very pretty it is a bit disappointing. The polishes all look like duochromes in the bottles but they just do not translate on to the nails. SS is no exception. It is a beautiful soft champagne metallic that wants to be a duochrome but just isn't. The formula is great, the color is pretty sheer but is opaque with three thin coats. The brush strokes- which are my pet peeve with metallics- are not too noticeable which is nice. Swanky Silk was a pain to photograph. It kept coming out looking green in various lighting. The pic below is the best one I got out of the ton I took. It's definitely prettier in person. Overall, this is a pretty color- just not mind blowing.
