Neon and Gold Framed Mani

Happy Friday the 13th! Mwuhahhhaahh. I don't really buy into the superstition that comes with this day but it's funny to listen to people talk about it. Superstitions amuse me. I don't think of myself as superstitious at all but I will admit that there is a skirt that I own- and love- that every time I've worn it to work something awful has happened. So I still wear the skirt- just not to the office. Ha! But I digress- on to the nails!

I wanted to make another attempt at framed nails since I really liked how they looked the first time I did them. I'm still struggling with a steady hand when it comes to getting the frame straight- but practice makes perfect, right? And I figured I would show them off even if they aren't perfect. I wanted to do a bright framed mani this time so I decided to do a glitter base and neon frame. For the base I used Julep Oscar and for the frame I used China Glaze Flip Flop Fantasy. For top coat I used SV. I have to give a shout out to Julep Oscar because it is one of the few glitter polishes that do not drink up top coat like water. I used a nail art brush to draw the frames. Again, they aren't bad- but they could be better. So what do you think? Is this mani bright enough to ward off the bad Friday the 13th juju?
