It's Neon...I swear! And Studs

Good morning all! Made it to the end of the week- yippee. I have a confession to make: I have a slight obsession with studs. I love them on shoes, bags, clothing and yes, my nails. I have only posted one other studded mani since I started my blog and felt that it was time for another. I wanted to keep it bright and fun for summer, so I decided to do neon. I used Glamour House in Teal. I have really mixed feelings about Glamour House nail polish. I love the colors, but I hate the formula. It is streaky and sheer and a total pain to work with. But- once it's on the nail- gorgeous color. Teal was no exception to this. The photos below are with two thick coats. You can't tell as much in the pics but I can see tiny little streaks when I look at my nails.  After applying Teal I applied a thick coat of Color Club Zero to Sixty Top Coat. For the studs I used Born Pretty gold nails studs and applied them with my nail art tweezers. I then applied two more coats of Zero to Sixty to secure the studs. Zero to Sixty is on the thinner side of the speed dry top coat spectrum. I find it's perfect for nail art like this, but it doesn't dry as quickly as my beloved Seche Vite.

Now about the photos...I tried. I really did. Photographing neons is insanely hard. I took pics with the flash on; flash off. In daylight and in artifical light. And I still couldn't quite capture what Teal looks like in real life. It's actually not that teal at all- terrible name for this color, btw. It's more of a light neon green. Very summery and bright. Oh, well...
