Diamonds Are a Girl's Best Friend

Happy Monday! I hope everyone had a great weekend. Mine felt very short - but don't they always?

I recently picked up China Glaze For Audrey- which is of course, Tiffany blue- and decided that I had to do an homage to Tiffany. For the necklace detail I used Born Pretty stamping plate m77. I experimented with white polishes before just using the white in my Claire's nail art pen. I just used the brush attachment to apply the polish to the plate. I then used Wet N' Wild Mega Shine in Metallica to add some strategic sparkle. I had a hard time with this plate. I am still a beginner when it comes to stamping but it seemed like no matter what I did I could not get a clean transfer from the plate onto my nail. As a result (and much frustration on my part) I simply used my dotting tool to fill in the blanks. I ordered my Bundle Monster plates Saturday (yes, I know I have a self-imposed spending moratorium but I had actually budgeted for them, so no guilt) and am eager to test them out and compare them with the few Konads and Born Pretty plates I have.

As you can see- lots of mistakes. But practice makes perfect- at least that's what I tell myself while growling in frustration.
