So, my education in nail stamping continues. Last night I tried another one of the images on the M3 Konad plate. Two cute bows. These immediately made me think "retro" and so I decided to go with a candy-pink as the base. I did umpteen coats (I seriously couldn't tell you how many) of Glamour House's Light Pink. This formula is a complete pain and is streaky beyond belief but once you get an even opaque coat it is the perfect pastel pink. I then used a fast dry top coat. For the stamps I used Sinful Color's Black on Black. Black on Black is a great black polish- my favorite in fact, but it did not get along well with the Konad plate and stamp. Took a lot of reapplications of the polish to the plate to get a complete image on the stamp. I then put on another coat of top coat and applied a few black microbeads in the center of the bows while the polish was still wet. The result is really girly, and retro-looking.
